1) Message boards : Number crunching : Suggestion box.... (Message 56)

Hi. Great start to the program! Congratulations.

If I may make a suggestion?

I would do two things;

#1 Double or triple the points awarded to a completed WU, this has the effect of making the leader board dynamic and moving as the point totals change quicker. right now the points awarded are on the low end of project rewards and tripling them would up your membership desirability ten fold. Make it a project people want to crunch for the competition.

#2 Change the updates from once a day to (at a minimum) four times a day. I would suggest six times a day like Collatz. This has the effect of giving users a reason to come back to see the updates and generate some excitement on the leaderboard races....

I know you are still setting up and auto WU generation is a priority, but these two changes would go a long way to making this a real fun project for the cruncher to have fun with crunchin.

I'm sorry, but I do not know English.
Of course, I can use Google-translator, but sometimes it's bad.

Please try to see this section

You can ask your questions. I will try to answer.

Your links were very informative Thank you, I will go forth and learn more, very interesting. I don't completely understand it yet but it intrigues me to find out more....

Thanks for making the effort, I know google translate does not do well for higher order science or mathematics. I appreciate the efforts Natalia, you obviously love what your doing....

Thank You!

Sounds like an interesting conversation on what the project is doing, shame I can't read it and online translating it makes it even worse.

Another thing you might want to consider...

Most, if not all Boinc projects have some way to communicate in English, not becasue your native language is bad, it's that most of the crunchers you are going to attract will probably have the ability to speak English where only about 40% will speak Russian.

I understand that your busy getting the project up and running, but it is something to keep in mind because as the project grows, you will find yourselves using it more and more.

Especially when your trying to explain what your doing as online translation, (not great at any time, absolutely horrible on scientific language) is not a good alternative.

Just makes it easier in the long run to get used to it from the start.....

And congratulations on your project start!
