The website is again unavailable. ice maybe disable the project while solving the problem with the disk? The "on/off" mode is very tiring. When the problem is solved, connect the project and continue testing. My new article "SOLS and SODLS" in Russian https://yadi.sk/d/nvdI6TgBrKv72A in English https://yadi.sk/d/VeY9bx6_q6CcZg |

I will shot down the server for 5 minutes for installing the disk as soon as the disk will arrived, then it will be on until Saturday morning. When I make the disk copy on Saturday the server will be sconnected for the time the copy required (maybe some hours) thanks p.s yes, the server will stay on in this periods |

Will the server work stably before replacing the disk? Or will periodic failures appear? My new article "SOLS and SODLS" in Russian https://yadi.sk/d/nvdI6TgBrKv72A in English https://yadi.sk/d/VeY9bx6_q6CcZg |

I don't think it could be stable all the time during this periods as kernel could freeze on some disk timeout errors and need a manual shout-down for restarting it. At least a user could set up BOINC to download works unit for 1 days of elaboration as at least I can restart the server when I'm physically at home (so from 18.00 to 06.30) |

and need a manual shout-down for restarting it. ...Or set server1 opposite to server2, place cd-rom of server2 nearly reset button of server1, glue a short pin. When server1 is freeze send command over Internet to server2 for open CD. This'is press button "reset" to reboot server1... :) |

hi, It is probably a data failure in write the numeric solution to result file, however, there is still present the two tasks of the solution: odlk3_23870_1510518454.957231, 37, 10 odlk3_15357_1510534987.655800, 36 The strange things is that all the 3 files where there are stored the solutions have the same pattern, but task name is visible (the one I extracted above)., so all tree files where written the same way (and it is unlikely that the same errors comes in tree different files in the same point). The simple way to resolve this is to reprocess this two task on the PC and verify the output of it. p.s. new disk is already arrived today, however I can follow the original plan of copy the data on Saturday. Maybe I will install it into the server before Friday (it require little downtime, just the time to insert it and turn on the server) |

Hi Nathalia, I was wondering why have broken down OLDK, ODLK1 (latinsquares) and RakeSearch projects? Why not keep a main OLDK project and create sub-projects? |

BOINC project Rake Search does not have any relation to our projects ODLK and ODLK1. In the project Rake Search other authors and another problem is solved. About the purpose of creating a branch of the BOINC project ODLK, I already answered here https://boinc.progger.info/odlk/forum_thread.php?id=45&postid=912#912 I'll explain. Adding new rulers to the ODLK project does not solve the problem. The performance of the project does not allow checking many jobs at the same time and the jobs are in the queue. In the branch jobs are not in the queue! My new article "SOLS and SODLS" in Russian https://yadi.sk/d/nvdI6TgBrKv72A in English https://yadi.sk/d/VeY9bx6_q6CcZg |

Thank you for the quick reply. it would be interesting to enrich a little site ODLK1 (the cover page), and overall the homepage of the 3 sites, so that visitors understand why there are 3 projects :-) |

The main page of the ODLK1 project will be framed when the project exits the testing mode. The description of this project can be seen here http://78.26.93.125/latinsquares/forum_thread.php?id=3 My new article "SOLS and SODLS" in Russian https://yadi.sk/d/nvdI6TgBrKv72A in English https://yadi.sk/d/VeY9bx6_q6CcZg |
